Thiago Silva’s agent has done nothing to quash rumours by admitting that his client would be happy to play for a club like Barcelona. Such a transfer would be disastrous for the image of PSG after the only recently lost manager Carlo Ancelotti to Real Madrid. Silva’s agent has also praised the Barcelona manager Tito Vilanova by saying that he is one of the best in the world. Barcelona failed to win the Champions League last season, but they lifted the league title from the clutches of Real Madrid.

One of the main reasons for Barcelona’s failures last season was the lack of depth and strength in the central defence.

“Tito is an excellent coach, and someone I really admire. After the game in the Champions League we had a brief chat and he asked me to go and play for his side. There are no negotiations. In football you never know what’s going to happen, but I’m happy at PSG, I’m very relaxed there. I speak with the president nearly every day and it’ll be very difficult for me to leave,” said the defender’s agent.

Silva played against Barcelona in the quarter-finals of the Champions League last season and he almost knocked them out.

Despite coming to the end of his career, Beckham still remains as one of the most wanted players in the world due to several aspects like marketing potential. The arrival of the 37-year-old has also given PSG a massive boost in the French league title race, as they have managed to extend their lead to 5 points in recent weeks. The former LA Galaxy man signed only a six month deal back in January.

His entire salary of around £ 1 million would be given to charity. Ancelotti, who has been at PSG for more than a year, has said that he would be happy to see that can extend his stay at the club, but it is a decision that he cannot make. He has urged the club and the player to come to an agreement that will see Beckham extending his deal.
